Anyone noticed Ian Hall's been a bit quiet recently? Well it's because he's been plotting (and training at the Fox Studio). On Sunday he'll be riding the Ride:London event in aid of Penny Brohn UK. Ian added: “Penny Brohn is local to Pill, where I live, and provides care not just for cancer sufferers but for those who care for and support them.
“It's folcus is holistic and it also does a lot for the community, working with organisations like the guides and brownies.”
Ian has been putting in lots of studio and 'real' miles in preparation for the ride on Sunday, working closely with us at Fox to improve strength and endurance.
He said: “So far I have managed 1,300 miles this year. I only started riding about 19 months ago and I have found cycling is very addictive and I have even started organising social rides and have been a marshall on a 50-mile ride through the Yorkshire Dales.”
Ian hopes to raise as much money as possible for the charity to cover the costs of counselling and care.
He added: “A counselling session cost £85. I would like to be able to know people’s generosity and my tired legs have really made a tangible difference.”
