It's over! The battle's lost and won! Thankyou so much to everyone who took part; you make Fox the special place it is.
So, in the final reckoning, we have the following to award:
We're entering our final week of the Vuelta. The avatar riders have been doing well, earning points for our Fox riders in the studio.
Geniez (AG2R la Mondiale) won stage 12 which has seen Mel earn 100 whole points, giving her a respectable lead, but not a safe one.
In stage 13, we saw Rodriguez (Caja Rural) join a large breakaway and earn 15 points for Sue, and then in stage 15, van Poppel (Lotto NL Jumbo) score a breakaway and therefore 15 points for Rachael P, and Schultz (Caja Rural) join in (since everyone else was) and join the breakaway too, earning 15 points for LauraB.
Rather unwisely, we asked social media what it thought of bringing back the PainCave.
Rather unwisely, it thought it was a great idea.
And there we have it - the first PainCave of the 2018-2019 season will take place 7am-9am (yes!) on Sunday 16th September (um, that's next week.) This is also the last day of the Vuelta a Fox, and therefore also the last stage of the Vuelta a Espana (a nice little bike race in Spain) - so we'll be having some Vuelta-related fun and frolics, because you're going to need something to take your mind off the 2 hours of endurance your little legs are going to be pedalling through.
*Vuelteros - don't pass up on this opportunity for 2 hours of glorious MEP-earning potential; it could mean all the difference!
It's the inaugural PainCave of the year - what could be more fun - and this one's 2 whole beautiful hours for only 1 ride credit! Bargain! Click the magnificent button below to book your place:
Well it's already got very interesting and we're only a little more than a week in.
The Avatar Riders have been working hard with de Tier (Liz S) and van Poppel (Rachael P) pedalling their socks off for Lotto NL Jumbo and each earning 15 points. Vicky and Laura B managed to bag 15 and 30 points respectively in a class challenge.
Movistar managed to find themselves a super-sharp pair of pointy elbows apiece, and someone (actually it was Vicky) send Laura B a wobbly wheel which meant she lost 10 points.
Confused? It gets worse. Gourgeard, who is the avatar rider for Cupid (AG2R la Mondiale) was doing nicely and earning 15 points for breakaway effort not once but twice, then got a hurty and was forced to withdraw. That means Cupid's just lost all his points. Bad luck, mate.
The Vuelta 2018 is well underway with a late addition to the line-up - Euskadi (piloted by Laura and Ian.)
Not only this, the Avatar Rider feature is in full effect with Cupid (AG2R la Mondiale) and Vicky (Movistar) winning 15 points apiece.
With glory already being sniffed at - what's going to happen with Movistar, on their home turf as well as championing the super-competitive Henners? It's always fun until someone breaks a nail.
Dr Lamborghini says...
"Come on in to my Caravan of Skulduggery and let me see what I can find for you.
Hmm, now let's see. Movistar is looking strong. Stronger even than the Tour. You might need some extra help to beat them.
Ah yes, here's a wobbly wheel. Donate only £2 and the rider of your choice will lose 10 green jersey points.
Want something positive? Well for you or a member of your own team, how about this ultra-sharp set of pointy elbows? Only £3 a pair, and they'll give you a clear 25 point boost. It's never too early to take an unfair advantage.
Interested? I can see you are. How about you click that skulduggerous orange button below and make your donation? It's all in a good cause, you know."
It's finally here! The Vuelta a Fox starts tomorrow (Saturday!) If you're still to sign up, you can do this by donating £10 here.
Dr Lamborghini's back!
Dr Lamborghini was remarkably 'helpful' during the Tour de Fox. He's had a month to restock his Caravan of Skulduggery and ready himself for the onslaught of the Vuelta.
Traditionally, the Tour de Fox is the mature and sensible older sibling of the unruly Vuelta where rules are made to be 'interpreted'.
Dr Lambo will be back with some dazzling offers to make riders faster, winnier, and their opponents definitely more loser-y. Keep tuned, he'll pop up every now and then with some delectable offers.
This is a brand new feature for this event. Each Vuelta rider will be assigned an 'avatar rider' this is a pro-rider taking part in the Vuelta de Espana. If the avatar rider abandons the race or gets injured, there's a points forfeit. If the avatar rider achieves glory with a victorious breakaway - or even wins a stage, there's a points reward.

Exciting times! Our final charity challenge of the year kicks of on Saturday 25th (that's THIS Saturday!)
It's going to be 3 weeks of glorious challenges - and you can take part as much or as little as you like. All you need to do is:
What do you get?
Well my dears, you get that nice warm feeling of knowing you've done some good in the world (always nice!) and also you get to have some fun - pedal-related fun as well as fun at the expense of others if you wish (skulduggery is most definitely a thing - that's why Geraint Thomas isn't going to be winning this year...) You also get the buzz of being part of something amazing. Because you're foxy.
It's coming! We're not judging if you've over-indulged on your holiday. Just know that we've got your back with this delightful little event!
The Tour de Fox was a raging success this year, following the three weeks of pro riders pedalling around France - so with the Vuelta a Fox we're going to be setting challenges for the three weeks of the Vuelta around Spain. It starts on 25th August, so you'll need to crack on and sign up now.
what is it?
And they're done! 2018 has seen the biggest (and best) Tour de Fox yet with 11 teams taking part, and new features added to make things even more interesting.
This year saw the introduction of Dr Lambourghini, the riders' first choice for an unfair advantage (no EPO or dog's blood available, however - just good honest pointy elbows, espressos, and itching powder amongst other things).
Anyone noticed Ian Hall's been a bit quiet recently? Well it's because he's been plotting (and training at the Fox Studio). On Sunday he'll be riding the Ride:London event in aid of Penny Brohn UK. Ian added: “Penny Brohn is local to Pill, where I live, and provides care not just for cancer sufferers but for those who care for and support them.
